With investments in advanced technologies, and significant expansions, Capital Health is a growing organization comprised of the Mercer and Fuld campuses and the newly opened Capital Health in Hamilton. Our clinical strengths are enhanced through the largest medical staff in Mercer County. Capital Health Regional Cancer Center is a member of the University of Pennsylvania Cancer Network.

The Capital Health Regional Cancer Center is accredited with commendation as an Outstanding Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. It received their 2006 Outstanding Achievement Award. As recognized by the Commission on Cancer, our program is one of the top seven percent of oncology programs in the country. Capital Health is known for Nursing excellence by being designated twice as a Magnet recognized health system. Capital Health continues to thrive as Mercer County's only trauma center, neonatal intensive care unit, and psychiatric emergency screening center, as well as the region's only mobile intensive care unit.

History

With over a century of service to Mercer and Bucks Counties, both Helene Fuld and Mercer Medical Centers shared traditions of caring. With the vision of building on that service into the millennium, they came together in December of 1997 to form Capital Health The new organization is comprised of 619-beds, employs over 3300 employees. But more importantly it is guided by the belief that Capital Health be dedicated to healthcare needs of the communities that it serves. That level of determination and commitment is the very soul of Capital Health.
