- Lung Tracking System
Tracks the movement of lung tumors directly, that move with breathing, with precision and reliability by monitoring your breathing during treatments. - Linear accelerator
Compact linear accelerator (X-ray), the component that generates the radiation that destroys the tumor, is small and allows it to be mounted directly to a robotic manipulator. -
Linear Accelerator Collimators
Your physician can choose from different cone sizes to tailor the beam size to your treatment -
Planning Your Treatments
Following the CT and or MRI scanning done in your first visits, the image data is then digitally transferred to the CyberKnife System's treatment planning workstation, where the treating physician identifies the exact size, shape and location of the tumor to be targeted and the surrounding vital structures to be avoided. Your physician team (including Surgeon, with a qualified radiation oncologist physician and physicist) then uses the software to generate a treatment plan to provide the desired radiation dose to the identified tumor location while avoiding damage to the surrounding healthy tissue. Once the plans are completed your treatment begins.
